Be Cause PR was founded by Cathy Caplener, aka Caps, in 1997 with a mission to help you define and promote your Purpose story.  She believes that we all have a story to tell, and when we are ready to announce it to the world, it is essential to explain our purpose for Cause and Effect.

Cathy is a communications practitioner and entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience who effectively negotiates complex social relationships and environments with a focus on purpose-driven initiatives, technology for good, mental health and wellness, plant-based food, and the wellness of our planet.  With a deep well of empathy, she develops stories that move people and inspire them to take action. She has a knack for understanding the actual (positive) impact of what people are selling and getting others to see the vision while achieving rapport with people from all walks of life. Cathy thrives in a team environment of collaboration and collective reckoning and is able to distill complicated technical, business, and socioeconomic quandaries into easy-to-understand concepts exposing underlying opportunities.  She has worked in Corporate America, ran departments in leading public relations agencies, launched start-ups and influencers, and runs a mental health non-profit called Giving Purpose Organization.
